Position Overview:Bollinger is seeking a Systems Administration Supervisor that provides hands-on technical leadership for the administration, monitoring, and lifecycle management of enterprise software platforms, managed endpoints, and Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) solutions. This role supervises System Administrators while actively participating in daily operational tasks, including software deployment, endpoint and MDM administration, identity management, and RMM platform optimization. The Supervisor ensures systems are reliable, secure, and proactively monitored to support uninterrupted business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and actively participate in the administration of enterprise software, endpoint platforms, and RMM solutions.



  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex issues identified through RMM alerts, monitoring tools, or endpoint management platforms.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train System Administrators, providing hands-on technical guidance and oversight.
  • Review and approve technical changes, scripts, monitoring policies, and deployment plans.
  • Own the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's RMM solution(s).
  • Design, implement, and tune monitoring policies, alert thresholds, and automated remediation workflows.
  • Develop and maintain RMM scripts for system health checks, patching, software installation, and remediation.
  • Ensure accurate asset discovery, inventory tracking, and endpoint visibility through the RMM platform.
  • Reduce alert noise by continuously refining monitoring rules and escalation workflows.
  • Administer enterprise identity platforms (e.g., Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD), including user and device lifecycle management.
  • Manage authentication, authorization, group policies, and role-based access controls.
  • Implement and enforce access standards and identity-related security controls.
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams on access reviews, auditing, and incident response.
  • Oversee and participate in enterprise software packaging, deployment, patching, and retirement.
  • Deliver software and updates using MDM, RMM, and endpoint management platforms.
  • Ensure timely operating system and third-party application patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Standardize application configurations, deployment methodologies, and version control practices.
  • Administer and optimize MDM solutions for Windows and mobile devices.
  • Define and enforce device configuration, compliance, and security policies.
  • Oversee device provisioning, enrollment, lifecycle management, and secure decommissioning.
  • Monitor endpoint health and compliance through MDM and RMM tooling.
  • Lead proactive monitoring efforts across endpoints, applications, and identity services.
  • Respond to, triage, and resolve alerts generated by RMM and monitoring platforms.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement preventive automation.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for escalated or complex issues.
  • Develop, review, and maintain automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or RMM-native scripting engines.
  • Automate patching, software deployment, health checks, compliance enforcement, and reporting.
  • Continuously improve operational efficiency through scripting and platform optimization.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of RMM configurations, scripts, monitoring standards, and escalation procedures.
  • Establish and enforce operational standards and best practices for endpoint and software management.
  • Collaborate with IT Security, Networking, DevOps, and Help Desk teams to align monitoring and response processes.
  • Communicate system health trends, risks, and improvement initiatives to leadership.


Required Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred), or 5+ years of experience in system administration, endpoint management, or enterprise IT operations.



  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, CompTIA A+, RMM or endpoint management certifications).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Hands-on experience administering and tuning RMM platforms.
  • Strong experience with MDM, endpoint security, and enterprise software deployment.


Skills and Abilities:

* Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and cloud-based identity platforms.

* Expertise with RMM solutions (monitoring, alerting, scripting, and automation).

* Strong experience with MDM and endpoint management platforms.

* Proficiency with scripting and automation tools.

* Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and incident response workflows.

* Strong hands-on leadership and mentoring abilities.

* Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

* Clear and effective written and verbal communication.

* Ability to balance operational execution with supervisory responsibilities.

* Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail.
