Description

As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will support the Quality Engineering team in maintaining and improving product quality, manufacturing processes, and compliance with internal standards and external regulations. This is a hands-on internship in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideal for students or recent graduates in engineering or a related field.



Internship dates: May 18th - August 14th (dates may vary depending on local college calendars)

In-office/non-remote


Springfield, MA


40 hours per week


Monday-Friday

The job may include but is not limited to the following:



First article inspection (assisting Quality Technicians and SQE's):



  • Assist in preparing FA inspection, and incoming inspection plans.
  • Help set up and run inspections on products or materials for compliance with specifications.
  • Analyze test data and summarize results for review.


Assist in resolving quality issues:



  • Working on the manufacturing floor and assembly
  • Working with warranty
  • Assist with resolving quality issues utilizing FMEAs and RCA


Process and Quality Documentation:



  • Update or create work instructions, control plans, and quality procedures.
  • Support the documentation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Assist in maintaining records for audits and regulatory compliance.


Cross-Function Collaboration:



  • Work with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to improve quality.


Assist calibration of gages using various types of measuring equipment
