Job Description We are seeking a cabling/access control technician with 3-5 years of experience to support major commercial projects across the Charleston region, including significant work at the Charleston International Airport and multiple school districts. Technicians will work on a wide range of security and low-voltage installations, including structured cabling, access control, CCTV, and door hardware. Key Responsibilities * Install, service, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems, including Cat5/Cat6, fiber, and structured cabling. * Perform access control installations (Lenel, S2, Genetec, Software House, Avigilon). * Install and configure VMS systems (IP/analog cameras, head-end equipment). * Install and service door hardware, including: * Electrified locks * Readers * Strikes * Crash bars * Sensors * Door brakes * Work with commercial-grade hardware from Allegion and ASSA ABLOY. * Complete terminations, testing, labeling, and documentation. * Follow project plans when acting as part of a team or when the company serves as the GC. * Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and strong communication with project managers. * Travel to various job sites; technicians may park at Tanger Mall and ride in a company vehicle to the airport project. * Report to the office and use company vehicles when work outside the Charleston area is required. Additional Attributes * Professional demeanor and strong customer service mindset. * Ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Comfortable working in active construction environments. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. * Reliable, coachable, and strong work ethic. * Must have basic hand tools; specialized tools provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
