The Space Sector of Moog's Space and Defense Group (SDG) designs and manufactures systems to survive the harsh environments of space travel. As an industry leader in space avionics, actuation and mechanisms, propulsion, power, structures, and shock and vibration control, Moog has been committed to the space industry for more than 60 years and Moog products have been to every planet.

Our team in the SDG Space Sector's Actuation and Avionics Business Unit is looking for an Electrical Product Engineer - 2nd Shift. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to manufacture, assemble and test electronic components, circuit boards, controllers and cables for development and production. You will also play a key role in the manufacturing and assembly of electronics development and production hardware.

Here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelors in electrical engineering.

  • At least 2 years' technical experience working in a manufacturing environment, including top level, sub-assemblies, and component levels.

  • Working knowledge of electronic products, including top level, sub-assemblies, and component levels.

  • Working knowledge of electronics assembly and test areas, including working with technicians.

  • Working knowledge of electronics system tests and measurement equipment.

  • Willing to travel domestically up to 5% to support projects.

  • Experience collaborating at all levels of an organization, customers and/or suppliers.

  • General knowledge in areas of Root Cause/Corrective Action, Project Planning, andData Acquisition and Analysis.

As an Electrical Product Engineer, you will...

  • Play a key role in improving existing processes, while helping to create new ones to support the Space Division.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute programs and deliver spacerated hardware to the customer.

  • Provide direction to Technicians as well as coordinate with Program Management, Quality, Project Engineering, and Design Engineering to maintain high integrity products.

  • Contribute to the analysis, design, development, and test of complex electrical hardware.

  • Identify and execute plans to improve cost and schedule on development and production programs.

  • Lead failure investigations to determine root case and implement corrective actions.

  • Generate technical data, reports, and procedures for assigned programs.

  • For production programs, serve as technical focal point for internal and external customers.

  • Collaborate with other Moog resources to resolve production problems and perform Material Review Board (MRB) analyses.

  • Evaluate, sustain, implement, and improve assembly & test methods, fixtures, and test equipment necessary for product delivery.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$95,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
