Job Description

The Manager - Retail Sales and Operations will oversee Wilson Warbirds retail operations. This role provides leadership to the retail team to maintain inventory levels and product distribution across all retail locations.

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

    Oversees merchandise operations and merchandise presentation across the stadium, ensuring appropriate merchandise is allocated to retail locations
  • Analyzes and maintains inventory levels across all retail locations daily
  • Works closely with the retail team to monitor inventory levels for key items
  • Supervises retail staff which includes leading the recruitment and hiring process by scheduling and conducting interviews for all game day/seasonal staff
  • Partners with IT to manage POS and inventory software systems
  • Work with in-house graphics team to manage production of apparel needs in-store and stadium, for promotions and events
  • Executes the retail marketing plan for the stadium, creating content for scoreboard and retail TVs
  • Work with current apparel and novelty vendors, as well as building relationships with new and potential vendors, to ensure best product mix and pricing for merchandise store
  • Negotiate with Milb Licensees to ensure cost and retail targets are achieved for specific Milb Licensed products. This includes creating a merchandise assortment plan and working with Milb Licensees to select assortment of licensed products to be sold for the Wilson Warbirds.
  • Conducts monthly audits on the retail and warehouse locations
  • Monitors the warehouse and merchandise budget. This includes monitoring merchandise delivery dates and communicating with vendors on timing.
  • Produce sales and loss reports as requested by senior management

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of store management experience; sports retail purchasing is a plus. A Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Business Management or Sports Management is preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Hours

Business hours are Monday - Friday 9 am - 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays. Required to work game days.
