Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Manager to support the FAA Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS) program at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center. This role focuses on software-related Configuration Management activities supporting development, integration, and sustainment of mission-critical systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience performing Configuration Management for software-intensive systems
  • Working knowledge of CM principles including configuration identification, control, status accounting, and audits
  • Experience with configuration baselines, change control boards (CCBs), and version control
  • Familiarity with software lifecycle processes and documentation
  • Ability to work closely with developers, engineers, testers, and program stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Experience supporting FAA programs or other federal government customers
  • Familiarity with FAA systems engineering or software development environments
  • Experience with tools such as Git, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, or similar CM and tracking tools
  • Understanding of software release management and deployment processes
  • Prior experience working at or supporting the FAA Tech Center

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish, maintain, and enforce Configuration Management processes for software and system baselines
  • Manage configuration items throughout the system and software lifecycle
  • Support and participate in Change Control Board (CCB) activities, including review, tracking, and documentation of changes
  • Maintain accurate configuration status accounting and records
  • Ensure configuration documentation is complete, current, and compliant with program requirements
  • Coordinate with engineering and program teams to ensure controlled implementation of approved changes
  • Support audits, reviews, and assessments related to configuration compliance
  • Assist with release planning, version control, and deployment coordination as required
