Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Job Summary: MRI Technician manages daily operations of MRI scanners. Responsible for all aspects related to MRI scanning including scheduling studies, performing scans, archiving studies, post-processing of images, archiving and maintaining imaging data, and billing of scanner usage. The MRI technician will work with researchers to develop protocols to collect optimal data for their studies. They will ensure all devices, coils and MR equipment is working properly, and organize service if not. Please note: This position would primarily be M-F, with the potential for 1 Saturday every 3 months (4 total per year) Specific Responsibilities:

Miscellaneous Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in MRI scanning. Experience with MR data collection and image post processing is required. Board Certified MRI or advanced degree (MS, PhD) where the thesis was focused on imaging Basic Life Support Certified preferred Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.) Proficient in MRI scanning Experience with post-processing MRI data Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities) Knowledge of MR physics Proficient at Neuroanatomy and brain function Experience with programming (bash, python, C) and/or system administration Experience with neuroimaging data processing and pipeline development Benefits At Northwestern, we are proud to provide meaningful and competitive benefits.
