As the Aerospace Materials - Maintenance Supervisor, you will directly oversee the maintenance technician team, and provide support to the team on necessary training, parts and tools to develop their technical, mechanical, and electrical skillsets to maintain the site's equipment. You will be the coordinator of the maintenance leads and technicians to the assigned and situational work across the site and is the leader providing a productive work culture and environment to the team to achieve the objectives of the Maintenance organization.

In this role you will work on-site at the Mojave, CA facility and report to the Site Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Drive EH&S accountability and safety culture across all levels of the Mojave organization by coaching, training, enforcing discipline, promoting proactive safety discussions, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols, including Life Critical Rules and incident reporting.
  • Support Engineering and Maintenance management goals to reduce OSHA cases, maintain zero PPG I&I cases and reportable spills, control spending, and achieve favorable manufacturing and building variances through active participation in planning, root cause analysis, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Oversee and validate maintenance activities by spending significant time in the field with technicians, ensuring completion of work orders (WOs), preventive maintenance (PMs), and assigned tasks, while supporting technician development through coaching, training plans, and job skills advancement.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between maintenance, plant personnel, and management by improving working relationships, supporting cross-departmental coordination, and addressing concerns or vulnerabilities promptly with management engagement.
  • Manage maintenance operational support including ordering and securing supplies, completing daily shift reports, audit assignments, and maintenance scheduling (e.g., seasonal equipment), as well as supporting capital projects, ACT maintenance, and site development.
  • Lead and participate in safety and operational meetings such as Tier Boards and Operational Tier Boards, provide regular feedback to technicians, and train Step-up Supervisors to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure administrative responsibilities are completed timely, including Kronos timekeeping for maintenance technicians, and support uniform disciplinary policies in collaboration with HR and site leadership.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five (5) or more years of lead technician experience.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environments and industries (e.g. automotive, aerospace, chemical, medical devices, pharmaceutical).
  • Technical knowledge on the following systems and equipment: Facilities infrastructure (HVAC, Electric Power distribution, compressed air, water, sewer and other plant utilities), Ovens and Autoclaves, Grind & Polish machines, stretching machines, other processing equipment (conveyors, machining, mixers, sanders, saws, etc.), and clean room environments.
  • Knowledge of PLC controls and Robots applications and maintenance required.
  • Knowledge of SCADA and MES systems

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000, with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 7% of base salary.
