Aerospace Sealants Lab Supervisor

PPG Aerospace in Mojave, California, is looking for an on-site Aerospace Sealants Lab Supervisor to lead lab operations and support quality and production goals. This position will work primarily on Monday-Friday.

You will work on-site at our Mojavi, CA facility and report directly to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Make decisions on batch adjustments for application properties and physical properties.
• You will also be responsible for training lab technicians accordingly
• Drive process improvements to reduce cycle time and enhance lab efficiency
• Mentor team members, track performance goals, and foster professional growth
• Communicate and coordinate priorities across shifts
• Champion 6S standards, minimize waste, and collaborate with manufacturing and distribution for on-time delivery
• Address quality-related issues, verify customer complaints, and implement corrective actions
• Work with customers regarding approvals, test discrepancies, and new test methods
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures
• Work and supervise the analytical lab for all raw material and in process batches.

Qualifications:

• Two (2) year of supervisory or related leadership experience required
• Three (3) years of previous experience working in a professional or academic lab environment preferred
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• Ability to wear required PPE with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000, with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 7% of base salary.
