Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus, including buildings and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any suspicious behavior or hazards.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies.
• Collaborate with campus personnel and local authorities as needed to support a secure environment for the educational location.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
