Job Description

Overview:

The Construction Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all construction projects within the organization. The role involves leading the construction team, coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:

    • Oversee multiple construction projects from inception to completion.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
    • Monitor progress and performance of construction projects.
    • Resolve issues and delays promptly to keep projects on track.
  2. Team Leadership:

    • Lead and manage a team of construction managers, contractors, and other staff.
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
    • Ensure all team members comply with company policies and procedures.
  3. Stakeholder Coordination:

    • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure clear communication and effective collaboration among all parties involved.
    • Manage client expectations and address any concerns or requirements.
  4. Quality and Safety Management:

    • Implement and enforce quality control measures across all projects.
    • Develop and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to standards.
  5. Budget and Cost Control:

    • Prepare and manage budgets for each project.
    • Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures.
    • Ensure projects are completed within approved budgets.
  6. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
    • Keep up-to-date with changes in construction regulations and industry best practices.
  7. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all construction activities and decisions.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10years of experience in construction management
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $140,000 - $170,000 Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
