Th Vermont Department Of Corrections is looking for a Workforce Development Coordinator to work out of Northern State Correctional Facility in Newport. In this role you will be in charge of 3 key components. Staff Leadership & Supervision

Duties are performed in a variety of settings including Department of Corrections Facilities, State offices, educational institutions, employer worksites, local & state cross disciplinary groups, and community service providers. Substantial travel is required, for which a State of Vermont Fleet vehicle will be issued. Some work outside of normal office hours may be required. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years or more of experience with creating programs and partnerships related to workforce development and training programs, or similar environment. OR Associate's degree AND three (3) years or more of experience with creating programs and partnerships related to workforce development and training programs, or similar environment. OR High School diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years or more of experience with creating programs and partnerships related to workforce development and training programs, or similar environment. Special Requirements
Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
