GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for the effective installation, configuration, operation, testing and maintenance of software applications and related infrastructure. Assesses potential impacts of future architecture on current applications, researches future needs, identifies opportunities for improvement, and designs solutions that ensure applications are running efficiently, securely, and are aligned with business objectives. Works closely with other IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to support application lifecycle management, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements. Receives technical guidance from leadership and works closely with the user community and leadership to identify and resolve system, networking, and hardware problems.

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

2. *Administers, monitors, and maintains enterprise applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.

3. *Develops, designs, recommends, and implements security measures to protect the organization's sensitive data.

4. *Manages projects not assigned to a Project Manager and coaches fellow analysts on best practices for project management at Bryan Health.

5. *Collaborates with other team members and departments to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

6. *Evaluates, architects, and deploys new technology solutions that improve the organization's efficiency and productivity.

7. *Monitors system performance and proactively identifies areas that require improvement.

8. *Develops and maintains system documentation and participates in disaster recovery planning.

9. Participates in on-point rotation with team members.

10. Administers systems with progressing level proficiency contained within supported software (e.g., Door Management, Video Management, POS).

11. Enters restricted access areas, without supervision, to perform assigned work.

12. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in the field of expertise.

13. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.

14. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Knowledge of technical infrastructure (networking, security, client/server application structure, Windows OS, and databases) in area of responsibility including the administration, design, configuration and implementation of those systems as appropriate.

2. Knowledge of server class hardware and supporting peripherals or 3rd party hardware.

3. Knowledge of network design, IP protocol suite and network devices.

4. Knowledge of Thin Client device configuration and management.

5. Knowledge of scripting languages/interfaces.

6. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.

7. Skill in design and engineering of enterprise focused solutions.

8. Ability to troubleshoot complex systems with multiple infrastructure layers.

9. Ability to execute complex work requiring coordination with other teams.

10. Ability to grasp complex technical and business systems, processes and principles across IT functions and relationships in support of organizational goals.

11. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

12. Ability to perform crucial conversations with desired outcomes.

13. Ability to manage projects and drive meaningful outcomes through collaboration.

14. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff.

15. Ability to problem solve and engage independent critical thinking skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in Information Technology required. Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in designing, architecting, and administering IT systems and applications required.

OR

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in Information Technology required. Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in designing, architecting, and administering IT systems and applications required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

(Physical Requirements are based on federal criteria and assigned by Human Resources upon review of the Principal Job Functions.)

(DOT) - Characterized as sedentary work requiring exertion up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Travel between campuses, data center and regional facilities expected. Travel percentage is approximately 20%.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
