Overview

The Digital Marketing Manager at TEC is a jack-of-all-digital-trades, ready to continue elevating TEC's growth in .com, email, social, paid, search and content marketing. This position will not only execute on current strategy, but guide evolving digital marketing efforts at one of the biggest and best truck and trailer dealerships in the country with over 30 locations in 8 states. The opportunity offers flavors of both B2B and B2C marketing-serving the needs of internal location and department managers needing digital marketing assistance, to directly marketing to TEC's customers both big and small alike.

While TEC's Digital Marketing Manager "leads" and "manages," they also will roll up their sleeves to "do" just as quickly. They are confident in mentoring and modeling those same characteristics that TEC champions and that are critical to the development of staff around them. The Digital Marketing Manager supports and enhances the Marketing Department's collaborative approach to work, solutions-oriented mentality, and ultimate accountability to self and team. They are a consummate team player who is resourceful and flexible to the needs of the company, team, and teammates... while not taking themselves or others too seriously. They are a self-starter with strong initiative, desire advancement personally and for the digital marketing efforts of TEC and are a proven team player looking to continue raising the bar for digital marketing at TEC. Ours is a team of six, looking to replace a key player of our team - we're waiting.



Responsibilities

    Work with Marketing team, internal and external customers, equipment manufacturer partners, and partner agencies and vendors to manage TEC's digital marketing efforts. This includes planning, producing, and providing fulfillment for the full range of TEC's digital platform engagements.
  • Assist internal customers in planning, developing, and executing their paid ad campaigns-from strategy to copy to budget-to drive revenue and leads. You are the resident expert with demonstrated experience running paid ad campaigns, preferably in the context of prior agency experience.
  • Oversee TEC website and intranet sites, including design, navigation, content, and maintenance. Maintain effective working relationships with website vendors and partners (e.g. agency, Sprout, Gravity Forms), while guiding an experienced and knowledgeable Digital Marketing Specialist as they execute the direction of both. You have prior experience with UI and UX web projects, Google Tag Manager, any CMS (we use Wordpress). Prior experience desired managing a web agency relationship, as is a successful history of directly executing website updates of small to medium size. Successfully driving sales and leads through website is also a desired proficiency.
  • Execute TEC's SEO and SEM strategies forward to drive traffic to site and leads. With 30 locations, multiple lines of business, and an evolving search landscape with heavy influence from LLMs, a successful candidate must have prior experience with executing and even building strategy for SEO/SEM. Your level of comfort in this area, as well as knowledge of current landscape is critical to success.
  • Oversee email marketing including advising and executing on overall email marketing strategy, automations, segmentations, tagging, contributing content, and setting and monitoring key performance metrics of entire email marketing program. Experience with Hubspot is a must have. Additional experience with Salesforce is preferred.
  • Manage and guide all social media channel activity (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) with primary goal of increasing engagement, and secondary goals of increasing followership and brand awareness.
  • Manage digital marketing metrics and reporting, including tracking, analyzing and distilling monthly key metrics for web and social performance, digital campaigns, online advertising, direct marketing, CRM, etc. You are comfortable around data without the assistance of LLMs or AI, and can take data insights to adjust your tactics. is a must. Comfortability with Google Looker Studio is highly desirable-you are comfortable creating and managing dashboards for reporting purposes. PowerBI experience for reporting purposes is not required, but would be a bonus for someone filling this role.
  • Manage digital design processes, including collaborating with Marketing's graphic designers on design elements needed for digital marketing assets.
  • Manage archiving of publications, images, vendor information, and digital campaigns, ensuring the maintenance of accurate records of past projects as both traditional files and digital files
  • Manage Digital Marketing Specialist ensuring he/she understands expectations, priorities and how success will be measured. Serve as mentor, coach, and positive role model in alignment with the TEC Way.
  • Oversee vendor relationship with web agency, ESP platform, and a host of digital service providers.
  • Manage QR code program - their use, tracking, maintenance, vendor relationship - and advise on QR code use at TEC. Prior experience with QR code use is a plus.
  • Manage and maintain digital project priorities lists


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, or related field, is preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in digital marketing role, either in-house or in agency setting
  • Minimum 7-10 years experience working within standard web platforms (e.g. WordPress, GA4/Google Analytics)
  • Experience implementing brand guidelines and consulting with partners to ensure all materials are on-brand
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience using Google Analytics/GA4 for KPI measurement and reporting for C-suite
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience using Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn, and YouTube to drive sales and or leads
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience creating social media posts, campaigns, and strategy on major social platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, with additional experience with Twitter, Tik Tok and YouTube being a bonus
  • Experience utilizing CRM tool and its data to drive digital marketing strategy and execution
  • Experience in project management, including successful use of project management software
  • Prior experience managing teammates
  • Working knowledge of web design, email design, and user experience fundamentals, best practices, and trends
  • Strong knowledge in HTML, SEO, SEM, and digital marketing
  • Solid project management skills, the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and manage a number of projects and resources simultaneously
  • Proficiency with MS Office systems, word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with staff, internal and external customers, partners, media, and vendors - with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team
  • Ability to effectively mentor, train, and oversee work of digital marketing team
  • Successful candidates must have proven history of: taking initiative, being self-starter, demonstrating follow-thru, taking responsibility for outcomes, willingness to try new things, providing thoughtful insight and opinions
  • Experience using Google Apps, Salesforce (or similar) CRM, Hubspot
