This role will help lead Ameren's culture change initiative, integrating it seamlessly with our strategy, leadership development, and talent processes. Additionally, this position will support change management across key initiatives - including consulting on change strategy, assessing readiness and impact, and measuring overall effectiveness to enhance performance. This dual-focused position requires strategic thinking and practical expertise to navigate complex enterprise-level change while building a healthy, high-performing organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise-level culture change roadmap including implementation schedule, communication plan, and approach for tracking cultural health and program effectiveness.

  • Design, implement and evaluate organization development (OD) interventions (e.g., workshops, experiences, tools, resources for leaders) that reinforce desired mindsets and behaviors.

  • Align culture initiatives with talent processes (e.g., performance management, onboarding, leadership development, employee listening and engagement, recognition) and key company moments (e.g., events, meetings).

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the HR team, the business (e.g., Communications, Operations, Digital), Ameren's Senior leadership team, and with external consulting partners to ensure alignment on priorities and outcomes.

  • Design and consult on enterprise change initiatives including identification of change impacts to people, process, policy, structure, and technology; develop change strategies focused on stakeholder management, communication, sustainability of change, and cultural alignment.

  • Establish metrics and measurement frameworks to track change readiness, adoption rates, effectiveness, and business value realization.

  • Serve as a trusted coach and advisor to leaders on change readiness, organizational health, and culture evolution.

  • Manage stakeholder engagement and partner across the business (including Performance Management Office and Ameren Transformation Office) and with external consulting partners to support development of change resources and strategies.

  • Develop and lead internal networks supporting culture and change across the organization.

  • Design and deliver training and resources to build organizational and leadership change management capability and consistent utilization of change methodology and tools, including support of the Ameren Change Experts (ACE) community of practice.

  • Monitor external trends and best practices in change management, culture, and organizational development, bringing innovative approaches to our work.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in HR, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business, or related field of study.

  • 5 or more years of relevant professional level experience (e.g., change management, leadership development, program design and management, or high impact organizational effectiveness consulting experience) required.

  • Prosci change management certification preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels of leadership. Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills. A solid understanding of business concepts with the ability to think strategically and translate into pragmatic plans to achieve results. Knowledge of change management practices and tools with the ability to influence significant change initiatives. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. A proactive and continuous improvement mindset, including a focus on leveraging technology, automation, and analytics to facilitate strong operational performance.
