The Children's Surgical Program Manager (CSPM) oversees, directs and facilitates all hospital components of the Level I Children's Surgery Center Verication, ensuring adherence to the American College of Surgeons requirements, Title 22, CMS, CDPH and The Joint Commission Standards. The CSPM plays an active role in the administration and review of children's surgical care from admission through discharge to ensure high quality and safe care in partnership with the Medical Director of Children's Surgery and others relevant. The CSPM shows evidence of educational preparation and relevant clinical experience in the care of patients with surgical needs. The CSPM plays an active role in directing quality implementation and oversight of the CSV Program throughout the continuum of hospital care, including oversight of the ACS NSQIP Pediatric Program. Additionally, the CSPM supervises the Surgical Clinical Reviewer (Pediatric NSQIP), Quality Improvement Nurses, Outreach Coordination, and accurate completion of Children's Hospital surveys as assigned. #CA-LA

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- A valid California Registered Nurse License without restrictions
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Master's degree in nursing or other related field
- Experience in performance improvement process
- Experience in program and system development or project management
- Ability to speak publicly in front of physicians, department chairs, physician champions, surveyors and hospital leadership regarding performance improvement
- Ability to perform chart reviews, analyze information, develop and implement action plans and evaluation of intervention and program
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of management experience
- Five (5) years of recent clinical experience in areas of inpatient pediatric surgical and intensive care
- Experience in patient safety
- Knowledge of performance improvement processes

Work Environment
