Position Summary
Branch Civil is searching foran experiencedand safety-orientedWelderto join our well-established, growing company.Theposition is responsible for welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, equipment, motors, and generators,according tolayouts, blueprints, or work orders, using brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment: welds metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.

Essential Functions:

• Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding

• Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts

• Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal parts preparatory to welding

• May perform other related duties

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of construction techniques

• 5+years ofweldingexperience

• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations

• DOT experience preferred, but notrequired

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee isfrequentlyexposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions atconstructionjob sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required touse hands and fingers to handle, feel oroperateobjects,toolsor controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee isfrequentlyrequired to stand,talkand hear. The employeeis occasionally required towalk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl,tasteand smell. The employee mustfrequentlylift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperceptionand the ability to adjust focus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, badweatherand emergencies at the job site.
