About the Position

The Supervisor Gas SCADA Field Operations is responsible for the management of gas control technicians and oversight of SCADA field operations to ensure the safety and reliability of the gas transmission system. This position requires availability for after-hours emergency calls and field response. The reporting location is remote (not required to report to an office environment on a routine basis) as it is expected that most of the time will be spent in the field, primarily at gas regulation and gas storage sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a safety culture where employees are engaged and pursue industry leading safety performance; ensures employees follow safety policies, guidelines, and best practices
  • Accountable for activities associated with the performance of the gas transmission system that include SCADA system functions; electrical construction; operations, maintenance, and calibration of gas systems; gas compliance, odorization controls, industrial commercial metering, and complex gas measurement
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all Gas O&M Plan standards
  • Follow collective bargaining agreements and work with Labor Relations to resolve disputes
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of documentation (e.g. timesheets, compliance work orders, data sheets, etc.)
  • Monitor employee workload to ensure timely completion of compliance and project activities
  • Collaborate with department leaders (e.g. SCADA engineering, GTS, Gas Storage, etc.) to promote a cooperative work environment, resolve disputes, and enhance work processes
  • Maintain Operator Qualifications and valid medical card for workforce contingency role
  • Coordinate training activities with Safety and external resources
  • Assist in planning and execution of department and project budgets
Qualifications:

Associate's Degree required - Bachelor's Degree preferred - in business management, engineering, technology, or a related degree from an accredited college or university. Five or more years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls required. Intermediate or above experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.) required. Related work experience involving high pressure gas systems, system control, complex measurement, odorization, SCADA/electronics, and federal and state regulatory compliance is preferred. Experience with Maximo preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Effective decision-making, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to lead several diversified and concurrent activities which may directly impact Ameren's customers and financial resources. Basic understanding of gas operations and the following Ameren competencies: Think Customer, Inspire and Engage, Foster Innovation, Drive Results, Champion Learning, Build Trust, and Be Strategic.

Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation Range:

$105,100.00 - $162,900.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
