Job Title: OEM Equipment Program Manager

Location: Fountain Valley, CA

Salary: $100,000-$150,000

Travel: 5%-10% for trade shows, conferences, and dealership visits

Position Overview:

The Program Manager, OEM Equipment Programs is the primary client contact and subject matter expert for all aspects of OEM-approved equipment programs. This role combines deep technical knowledge of dealership service garages with advanced program and project management skills. The successful candidate will manage equipment sourcing, validation, and approval processes for OEM partners, while leading complex, multi-location facility projects, national rollouts, and multiple concurrent initiatives. This position also provides expert guidance and escalation support for dealership operations, corporate teams, and equipment suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Service Garage Expertise & SME Role



  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for service garage design, layout, equipment integration, and service operations.
  • Collaborate with OEM partners to define and maintain dealership service standards, requirements, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative equipment solutions to improve dealership efficiency, productivity, and customer experience.
  • Support enforcement of facility and service standards across dealerships, ensuring alignment with OEM requirements.


Program & Project Management



  • Lead national rollout programs for approved equipment, coordinating multiple concurrent projects across regions.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute project plans, timelines, and deliverables while keeping projects on track and on budget.
  • Facilitate project hand-offs to Facility Action Teams for implementation, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to standards.
  • Manage project communications with internal teams, OEMs, dealership leadership, and equipment suppliers to maintain alignment and accountability.


Client Relations & Stakeholder Engagement



  • Act as the primary point of contact for all OEM equipment program needs and escalations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with OEM Service and Retail Development Groups, Regional Managers, dealership leadership, and key suppliers.
  • Provide guidance and facilitate collaboration between dealership teams, corporate stakeholders, and OEM partners.
  • Deliver presentations, status reports, and program updates to senior management and clients.


Customer Support & Program Operations



  • Oversee resolution of escalated customer or dealership issues, ensuring timely and professional follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate databases of approved equipment and service tools, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Track program metrics, report on progress, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify business development opportunities that enhance account growth and program adoption.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in program, project, or account management with national-level initiatives.
  • Strong, hands-on technical experience in service garage operations, dealership service departments, and automotive service equipment.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects and cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Proven ability to work with senior executives, OEM partners, and equipment suppliers effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and project management tools.
  • High energy, proactive mindset, and strong relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in national dealership rollouts, multi-site project coordination, and automotive industry programs preferred.
