Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Officer in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role involves routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns or hazards according to established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during incidents on location.
  • Maintain documentation and logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities as required by the site.
  • Adhere to all company, client, and site-specific policies and procedures while performing armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
