Accounting Manager - Month-End - Inventory - Audit - Margin Review - Revenue - Flux Analysis

A Westside manufacturer is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. In this Accounting Manager role, this person will be responsible for revenue, inventory, assisting with the audit, month-end close, variance analysis, margin review, and managing staff. What do you need for this Accounting Manager role?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 7+ years of accounting experience
  • Must have people management experience (experienced Accounting Manager)
  • Must have strong inventory accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel
  • Revenue accounting experience a plus
  • Public accounting experience a plus but not necessary
What will you do in this Accounting Manager role?
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for inventory accounting, ensuring accuracy across all related processes.
  • Support revenue accounting activities.
  • Provide technical accounting support, including ASC 606 considerations as needed.
  • Lead the month-end close process, including managing the close calendar, running team meetings, and ensuring tasks are completed on time.
  • Maintain and oversee the accuracy of the accounting ERP.
  • Prepare and review flux analyses and margin reviews to support financial reporting and business insights.
  • Partner with the audit lead on the annual audit, assisting with 20-25% of deliverables in coordination with the auditor.
  • Manage a team of 2-4 people including offshore staff.
  • Provide guidance, oversight, and mentorship to ensure high-quality work and process consistency.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across finance and operations to ensure accurate reporting and smooth month-end activities.
  • Support process improvements and operational efficiencies across the accounting team.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
