Description

The National Account Manager, Proprietary position manages sales and creative backup to grow the Proprietary Publishing market share and revenue at Warehouse Club and Mass Market accounts. Monitor all stages of product sales from presentation to execution in the market.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual budget goals.
  • Manage sales of Proprietary titles, including presentations, follow-up, working with Product and Inventory Teams to ensure projects deliver on-time.
  • Recommend titles, formats, and brands to be created for the channel to optimize sales.
  • Prepare all sales presentations and coordinate all sales samples for each customer meeting.
  • Run Point of Sales reports to analyze and assess all club sales. Review gross and net sales for each assortment, run EAN sales to clarify strongest titles in assortment, and forecast future reprints for each customer.
  • Maintain relationships with Proprietary product team on an ongoing basis and communicate the evolving requirements of the market and brainstorm new ideas to increase revenue.
  • Provide input for product development throughout all phases of production from concept phase to final printing.
  • Directly drive revenue by assessing opportunities for price increases and identifying product for opportunistic sales domestically and internationally.
  • Coordinate with international subsidiaries and .com channels to maximize print runs, cost efficiencies, and use of excess inventory.
  • Work closely with Trade Product team to ensure stock is maximized in the correct locations.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Club Product Management Team on assortment planning and execution of proprietary products.
  • Coordinate with Shopper's Marketing team on marketing plans and co-op funds.
  • Grow revenue each year in these sales channels by working with the Product team and accounts to provide product that is most saleable in the channel.
  • Coordinate with Product Management Team in Oak Brook to develop new Proprietary titles for the Mass Market channel.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work extra hours to keep projects on schedule.
  • Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment and able to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Strong to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to speak with all levels of the organization and outside partners.
  • Familiarity with publishing industry terms beneficial.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must be proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to do algebra, calculate figures and amounts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in written or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • A methodical and organized approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving variables.
  • The work performed is in an office environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Employee is occasionally exposed to vibration and dust.

Salary:$90,000.00 - $97,000.00
