POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Sales Intern supports branch sales operations by assisting with customer outreach, research, proposal preparation, and follow-up activities. The role also provides support to sales and estimating leadership on special projects and initiatives. Base hourly rate of $21/hr KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contacts prospective customers and arranges sales meetings. Attends meetings with sales team member(s). Completes delegated follow up tasks resulting from customer meetings.
- Researches customer's business profile & facilities infrastructure to prepare for customer meetings
- Support sales staff with developing proposals, estimates, and project schedules
- Supports service & sales staff in targeting and generating opportunities for service sales.
- Researches and populates construction / equipment projects to service leads.
- Supports sales leader and estimating leader with special assignments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- This is considered a light work position, which means possible exertion of up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
TRAVEL:
- This position may require up to 10% local travel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of related experience in an administrative, marketing, or sales-related capacity.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Affinity for multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
- Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience with producing, editing, proofing, and publishing content.
- Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
