Security Officer - Industrial Plant Patrol

As a Security Officer - Industrial Plant Patrol in Ronkonkoma, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols of the premises. Your visible presence and outstanding communication skills will contribute to a secure environment for everyone on-site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining composure throughout.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Communicate professionally with on-site personnel, visitors, and members of Allied Universal, providing assistance when needed.
• Complete reports and logs of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
