Security Officer - Retail Center Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Unarmed Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic retail and mall environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, contributing to a secure atmosphere for tenants and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service through strong communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating vehicles in accordance with company policy. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail or mall location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business interior and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits when required.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Maintain detailed and accurate written reports of daily activities and incidents encountered during patrols.
• Work collaboratively with location management and/or law enforcement when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience riding a bike for extended periods of time is preferred.
• Experience operating a Segway or T3 is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
