Koch KCBX Terminals is looking for an Operations Shift Supervisor to support and develop operations at our facility in Chicago, IL. The Operations Shift Supervisor is vital to the daily and long-term success of our Chicago terminal. This role leads a team to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations of the facility. The supervisor plays a key role in driving operational excellence, meeting production goals, and developing a culture of discipline and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, develop, and manage Plant Operators working on shift
  • Promote and maintain a culture of operational discipline and EHS compliance.
  • Drive operational excellence to ensure shift goals and plant production targets are achieved.
  • Facilitate training programs and certifications for Plant Operators.
  • Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and effective self-management.
  • Communicate clearly and lead meetings with diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communications.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Proven experience leading and developing teams in a heavy industry environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and lead diverse groups.
  • Ability to be medically approved for required safety training programs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds
  • Able to climb stairs and ladders
  • Comfortable sitting, standing, or kneeling as needed
  • Willing and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
What Will Put You Ahead
  • 5 + years of operations experience in a heavy industrial facility.
  • Hands-on experience working in heavy industry.
  • Locomotive or rail industry experience.
  • Proven ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

For this role, we anticipate paying $85,000- $105,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
