Job Summary:

The Business Services Professional (open rank) performs duties related to the administrative needs of the Department of Medicine's (DOM) Division of Hospital Medicine (DHM). Working under the direction of the Division Administrator, this employee will handle project management in support of the Faculty Development team, calendar management for recruitment and candidate visits, and other duties as assigned. Additionally, this role provides excellent internal/external customer service at all levels and establishes and maintains a strong working relationship with DHM Division Head, Faculty and Staff, Division Administrator, Human Resources (HR), University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) Administration, affiliates, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and improve the faculty promotion tracking processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submissions in collaboration with HR and other stakeholders.

  • Coordinate faculty development meetings and maintain an up-to-date library of resources and handling sensitive matters with professionalism.

  • Schedule over fifty physician interviews annually, including candidate visits and calendar support for division leadership.

  • Provide operational support for on-site visits and collaborate with administrative partners to meet evolving needs.

  • Foster positive relationships with faculty, staff, guests, and other constituents through responsive and professional communication.

Work Location:

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Intermediate Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, health care, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

  • One (1) year of professional administrative, program, project support, or related experience in an academic or healthcare setting.

Senior Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, health care, or a related field from an accredited institution.

    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

  • Two (2) year of professional administrative, program, project support, or related experience in an academic or healthcare setting.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in a higher education setting.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Experience with complex scheduling.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

  • Outstanding customer service skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

Intermediate Level: $55,975 - $63,000

Senior Level: $60,514 - $75,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
