Description & Requirements

DevOps Engineer Intern - Summer 2026

At Jack Henry, we deliver technology solutions that are digitally transforming and empowering community banks and credit unions to provide enhanced and streamlined user experiences to their customers and members. Our best-in-class products are just the start as we lay the groundwork for the future of digital banking and payments. We hope you'll join us.

We are the Payments CPS ASG (Tier 3 Application Support Group). We provide an escalation point for application support of various CPS applications. We are integral in the intake of new applications being released to the production environment and we provide support/impact metrics to senior level management to aid in strategic business decisions surrounding incident management. We ensure reliable code delivery from development to production systems for over 30 payments-oriented services (spanning in-house developed and third-party solutions) that we support. We are a team of 14 and we are an exceptionally diverse group spanning members from a wide range of age and cultural backgrounds. We are a close-knit group, and we really embrace the JH motto 'Do the right thing, do whatever it takes and have fun'.

The intern will explore and implement automation solutions to streamline and enhance the tracking of current release processes within the Payments organization. By leveraging Power Automate and Teams, the intern will identify manual steps in the current release workflow, design and test automation flows to improve visibility and reduce manual effort required for release deliverables. This project offers hands-on experience in process improvement, low-code automation, and cross-team collaboration within a production support environment.

Interns at Jack Henry earn $25.00 per hour and work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

The Summer 2026 Internship Program will run from June 1 through August 7, 2026

This position will be worked onsite out of our Springfield, MO or Monett, MO office.

What you'll be responsible for:

* Explore and implement automation solutions to streamline and enhance the tracking of release processes within the CPS organization.

* Review the current release process and identify manual steps that can be automated using Power Automate via Teams.

* Demonstrated foundational knowledge or early experience in relevant areas of interest including DevOps tooling and automation such as Azure, Microsoft Power Automate, advanced Microsoft Teams integrations and DevOps best practices.

* Must be a U.S. citizen and not require sponsorship for employment authorization now or in the future.

What would be nice for you to have:

* Academic or working experience with SQL database administration and advanced PowerShell scripting.

* A basic understanding of the fintech industry and enterprise administration.
