Medical Education Prog Asst 2

The Department of Radiology is looking to hire a motivated professional to serve as a Medical Education Program Assistant 2. This is a high energy position that requires customer service, fiscal responsibilities, assertiveness, patience, excellent oral and written communications, and superb organizational skills. This position requires someone able to be responsive to multiple internal and external stakeholders under tight deadlines and requires resourcefulness, follow-through, and flexibility.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing and performing a range of diverse administrative activities for the Department of Radiology including but not limited to:

* Under direct supervision: plans, prepares and distributes practicum, training, tutorial and/or clinical rotation schedule as appropriate for the program participants. Works with students and/or fellows and faculty in coordinating adjustments, additions, deletions and modifications to individual rotations and schedules.

* Is the Administrative liaison for Continuing Medical Education (CME).

* Provide Administrative Support to Department Faculty and Education Team.

* Central point of contact with internal and external stakeholders.

* Administrative liaison for CME and education rotators (clerkships);

* Coordinate Meetings and Take meeting minutes.

* Assist with travel arrangements and reimbursements.

* Departmental Procurement; process department money list.

* Working as an integral part of a solid administrative team.

* Monitor, reconcile, and assist with fiscal administration

* Assist with Department Events (e.g. recruitment, education or research events and activities).

* Establishing and maintain administrative records.

* Create, edit, and proofread correspondence.

* Assist in administrative problem solving.

* Assist with Orientation of all new incomers to the Dept. (Faculty, Staff, Residents, Rotators).

* Misc. Duties as Assigned.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated through the interview process
Ability to work effectively with a team of administrative staff and clinical faculty
Ability to work with a diverse group of clinical and managerial staff;
Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines;
Advanced coordination and organizational skills;
Knowledge and understanding of Basic Accounting Principles and UNM Policies and Procedures related to purchasing
Ability to be flexible while staying professional and positive in a changing environment.
