Overview

Clarkson University's David D. Reh School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track position in Engineering & Management with a focus on industrial management, operations research, supply chain management, project management, and advanced manufacturing to begin August 1, 2026. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to research excellence, high-quality teaching, and service to the academic community. The successful candidate will contribute to Clarkson's interdisciplinary research efforts in business, technology, and data science, while also delivering high-quality teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

ABOUT THE BUSINESS SCHOOL: Clarkson University's David D. Reh School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Our undergraduate and graduate programs are consistently ranked by US News & World Report and other publications and reports among the top 100. In addition, our Entrepreneurship and Supply Chain programs are consistently ranked in the top 25. The standard faculty teaching load with the Reh School of Business is five courses per year. Salary, teaching load, and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY: Clarkson University is a major research institution having attained a high research activity designation from Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. We provide comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs. The University is located in Potsdam, NY, offering easy access to the Adirondack Park, as well as Ottawa and Montreal in Canada. In total, over 4,000 students attend the University. We are members of the Associated Colleges of the St. Lawrence Valley along with our neighboring schools SUNY Potsdam, SUNY Canton and St. Lawrence University.



Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate engineering & management courses. The standard teaching load for a tenure track faculty member is 5 courses per year. We have broach teaching needs, including industrial management, operations research, supply chain management, project management, and advanced manufacturing are especially desired.



Qualifications

Applicants for the position must hold a Ph.D. in industrial engineering, operations management or a closely-related field by the time of the appointment or be close to completion.
