The R&D Clinical Research Team is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Manager with interest in development of point-of-care veterinary instruments. IDEXX recently launched inVue Dx as part of their 'technology for life' instrument series and is working to quickly expand available capabilities. The focus of this role will be to assist with activities that support this development, as well as future platform developments. The successful candidate will be energetic, inquisitive, and excel in a highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary environment. Key responsibilities of the position include supporting large scale fresh sample acquisition, development of clinical field studies, and interfacing with key stakeholders across the development team.

What you will do:
  • Perform a variety of Clinical Research activities involving critical thinking, study planning, execution, analysis and study reporting to support the R&D Clinical Research Team.

  • Utilize data, metrics and system tools to understand clinical utility and to enhance customer experience.

  • Establish and approve scientific methods and protocols needed for external collaborative research studies.

  • Work accurately and efficiently with careful attention to detail, appropriate documentation, and clear communication.

  • Develop business acumen through internal and external networking to understand level of published evidence needed for successful product launch.

  • Stay current with new point of care technology and developments.

  • Collaborate and communicate with colleagues inside and outside of R&D to provide work support, exchange information and ensure efficient processes.

  • Maintain knowledge of products and procedures, developments in the field and industry and regulatory environment.

  • Adhere to appropriate procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • May participate in conferences, webinars and seminars to continue to develop knowledge base and build Key Opinion Leader network.

What you need to succeed:
  • DVM with prior clinical research experience preferred.

  • Prior industry experience preferred.

  • Accountable, detail-oriented, and flexible.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize, and handle the stress of multiple deadlines.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels across the business and serve as an external spokesperson for the organization.

  • Ability to work onsite and cooperatively as part of a team.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.

  • Ability to handle veterinary and human clinical research samples.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Organizational skills and ability to plan work.
