General Surgeon

The NYU Langone Health's Department of Surgery under the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, part of NYU Langone Health, is seeking a dynamic, full-time, entry level/mid-level attending in the Division of General Surgery to join a busy practice at the premier tertiary academic medical center. The position is located on the east side of Manhattan in the heart of New York City The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Surgery and have strong robotic surgery skills.

• Practice in foregut surgery, hernia and abdominal wall surgery, and bread-and-butter general surgery. This does not include Bariatric surgery.

Qualified applicants must demonstrate a commitment to service, a track record of achievement in their field of expertise, and an interest in fulfilling the common goals of the Department of Surgery at NYU Langone Health. Qualified candidates must also:

• Hold Board Certification in General Surgery and be eligible for NYS Licensure
• Hold fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery or abdominal wall surgery
• Provide clinical care services including, but not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care, preventative and health care maintenance to patients
• Implement and enforce clinical policies with Chief of General Surgery, and other providers to continuously provide high quality, comprehensive patient care
• Responsible for supervision of assigned or other advanced practice providers (physician assistants and nurse practitioners) at the clinical site as applicable
• Foster a professional, collaborative work environment with all team members and colleagues

Recent Graduates considered.

Current NYS Medical License.

Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility(American Board of Surgery) in General Surgery.

Strong robotic surgery skillset is ideal.
