In the role of Human Resources Representative, we'll count on you to:

  • Lead the NE/IA Engineering and Architecture Summer Intern Program including recruiting, onboarding and summer program content/activities.
  • Oversee university partnerships and initiatives including event management, summer Intern hiring and onboarding and Summer Intern Program engagement activities in partnership with the NE/IA Area HR Team, Hiring Managers, Support Staff and Technical Staff.
  • Guide the ongoing enhancement of summer program, campus initiative, identify creative solutions to recruiting obstacles and develop process improvements.
  • Assist hiring managers throughout the Internship life cycle from new employee onboarding to employee offboarding.
  • Ensure prospective students receive timely service and response to requests for information, detailed personal attention and exemplary service in all phases of the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Identify and engage in outreach initiatives while documenting all outreach activities, to aid the HR Team with accurate completion of Affirmative Action Plans for assigned area locations.
  • Use corporate HRIS systems to maintain employee records and process employee actions.
  • Help ensure the fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Answer basic policy and procedure questions as needed.
  • Assist the local and corporate HR Department with a variety of HR-related tasks.
  • Assist Area HR Team with various auditing/reporting requirements.
  • Engage and participate in various employee diversity networking groups.
  • In coordination with Regional Corporate Recruiters, assist with the hiring process where needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business or related field.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and support multiple managers in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong interest in recruitment.
  • HR Certification a plus.

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of employees and management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Word and Excel or similar programs
  • Basic understanding of business activities
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
