Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Unarmed Patrol Driver in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents while providing a reassuring presence for staff, patients, and visitors. This position involves routine patrols, visible engagement with the community, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving role, allowing you to cover the grounds efficiently as you respond to evolving situations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to those on site by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations throughout the healthcare facility in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols within the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and/or sensitive areas to help support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as necessary.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support access control processes, including verification of identification and management of visitor flow as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
