Under the general direction of the manager of financial planning and reporting; key responsibilities and qualifications for a finance-related role, including participation in period-end close processes, budget planning, corporate forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis, with an emphasis on compliance with GAAP and collaboration with business units; qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 1-3 years of experience, proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Period-End Close & Reporting:
    • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies during close activities.
  • Budget Planning:
    • Assist in the annual planning process for operating expense budgets.
    • Collaborate with department leaders to gather input and validate assumptions.
  • Corporate Forecasting:
    • Support ongoing income statement forecasting throughout the year.
    • Provides proactive guidance on business performance and appropriate financial solutions.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis:
    • Provides financial support to operational and functional business areas and serve as their business partner.
    • Analyzes complex business and financial issues and can summarize and communicate them effectively to their respective internal customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; experience with forecasting tools is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
