Overview
DecisionPoint is seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to support the Defense Casualty Information Processing System (DCIPS) in an AWS GovCloud environment. This role supports the administration, engineering, security, and sustainment of missioncritical database platforms across development, test, preproduction, and production environments for a Department of Defense system. This position is fully remote.
Duties & Responsibilities
Administer, secure, optimize, and monitor AWS GovCloudbased databases, storage, and related middletier components.
- Design and maintain highavailability, replication, backup, and recovery solutions.
- Develop and manage database schemas, indexes, and objects optimized for performance, reporting, and analytics.
- Support ETL processes, APIs, data integration, and analytics platforms including data warehouses and data lakes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in collaboration with Government and engineering stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, data models, and reporting guides.
- Ensure database security and compliance within multitenant Government Cloud environments.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 7 years of database administration and engineering experience
- Experience supporting cloudbased or regulated Government systems
Desired
- AWS Certified Database - Specialty, and/or
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
