CNC Technician

We are seeking skilled and dependable CNC Technicians on multiple shifts to support our machining operations in a high-volume die casting environment. With 1-3 years of experience, this technician will assist with machine setups, perform routine maintenance, monitor production runs, and conduct in-process inspections to ensure part quality. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of CNC equipment, basic G-code knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot minor issues while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The role reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities



  • Identifies and corrects machining downtime and scrap issues.
  • Reads and understands GD&T.
  • Reads and interprets CMM reports.
  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of G code and ability to perform major adjustments at the machine.
  • Writes basic 2-axis programs.
  • Changes tooling and makes offsets on all machining equipment.
  • Advanced understanding of machining defects, causes and the ability to make machining adjustments to correct root cause.
  • Identifies and corrects dimensional issues.
  • Gages and inspects all parts using various measuring tools.
  • Able to train new employees.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.



Qualifications



  • High school graduate or equivalent. Technical or vocational school preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work with small precision parts.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed instructions in English.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of diverse individuals.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Often lifts light to heavy-weight material to transport parts up to and including 50lbs (11-27kgs) across plant floor for various needs
  • Willing and able to stand and/or move about the facility constantly for an 8/10/12 hour shift
  • Ability to perform occasional reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling and twisting reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
  • Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
  • Frequent use of wrist and hands to operate small pieces of equipment
  • Frequent ascending or descending onto platforms
  • Perceive parts and instructions using close vision and color vision
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
  • May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
