Geosyntec Consultants, a specialized environmental consulting and engineering firm, will be available to meet with civil / environmental engineering and earth science students at Stanford University on October 17, 2025. These meetings will allow Stanford students the opportunity to interact with Geosyntec practitioners and to learn more about full-time and internship opportunities with the firm throughout the United States. Note that this posting is only open to current Stanford students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Environmental studies and remediation;
  • Natural resources assessment and restoration; and
  • Engineering and design for environmental, water resources, geotechnical, and structural infrastructure.


Education and Licensure

  • Bachelors in geology or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree in geology, civil, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering. (preferred)
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification. (preferred for engineering candidates)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
  • Prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
  • Critical thinking and task management skills. (preferred)
  • Experience with ArcView, Modflow, and/or AutoCAD. (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum: $23.19/hour / Maximum: $33.00/hour or Minimum: $68,640/year / Maximum: $67,545/year (Oakland, CA - Internship)
  • Minimum: $27.45/hour / Maximum: $33.00/hour or Minimum: $68,640/year / Maximum: $88,280/year (Oakland, CA - Early-Career Professional)
