We are looking for an ambitious and self-starting assistant. This is a perfect job for anyone interested in developing a career in academic/educational publishing and/or documentary film distribution and working for a company dedicated to supporting independent documentary films rooted in social justice and human rights. This person is responsible for providing a range of administrative tasks in support of the team and the day-to-day operations of GOOD DOCS (https://gooddocs.net/), a wholly owned subsidiary of Sage Publishing. GOOD DOCS is a US-based documentary distributor with an award-winning collection of films designed to engage and inspire students by featuring rarely heard stories about individuals and communities working towards a more equitable world. It is part of the Global Sage Learning Resources portfolio of products at Sage. In this role, this person will work closely with the Head of Film Acquisition and Distribution, GOOD DOCS, and the wider team on a range of tasks to assist in contracts and payments, marketing research, onboarding of films for sale/distribution, website management, and more. They will also provide Executive support to the Associate Vice President, Library Editorial at Sage. Essential job functions and responsibilities:
