Job Description:

As a Security Professional - Healthcare Access Control in Hawthorne, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and managing badge access to help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the facility, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service while responding to inquiries and assisting with access needs. This position requires the use of a computer or tablet for logging activities and reporting, and it is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required. Pay Rate: $21.95 - $22.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
• Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and information while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to company and client procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and maintain a welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
