What to Expect
Tesla is accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy, and as a key member of Tesla Energy's Global Demand Generation and Content Team, you'll play a critical role in supporting that mission. We're looking for a Content Development Leader with exceptional and versatile communications expertise across all channels. You'll translate complex residential energy technology into compelling, accessible content, ensuring our customers and business partners understand both the technical depth and real-world impact of Tesla Energy products. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, growth marketing and sales with a focus on written communication that informs, inspires and drives action.
The ideal candidate is a writer first-someone who can dive into technical details without getting lost in them and distill information from product and engineering teams to produce crisp, engaging content in a range of formats. This person is not quite as technical as a product marketer but is more technically minded than a typical content or communications manager.
What You'll Do
- Write and develop product-focused content (80% consumer/20% business audience) including white papers, sales enablement documents, customer communications, email campaigns and channel partner communications
- Work cross-functionally with design, sales, product and engineering teams to gather detailed insights on Tesla Energy products including Powerwall, Wall Connector, Solar Roof, Tesla Virtual Power Plant and others
- Translate technical features and capabilities into clear value propositions and messaging for customers and partners
- Support the Global Demand Generation Team with campaign messaging, content strategy and asset development for product launches and updates
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of experience in copywriting, content development, marketing communications or technical writing, preferably in the energy space
- Excellent writing and editing skills, fluent in AP Style guidelines, familiarity working with a house style guide, plus a strong portfolio of clear, product-driven content
- Comfortable with technical subject matter-you don't need to be an engineer, but you're curious, detail-oriented and eager to ask questions until you understand
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including design, sales, engineering, product marketing and creative
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong understanding of digital channels and audience targeting, including web, email and social media
- Passion for Tesla's mission and sustainable energy
