What You'll Be Doing:

As a Project Management Intern at McGough, you'll be immersed in meaningful work, gaining practical experience that goes far beyond the classroom. You'll contribute to projects, tackle challenges, and make a lasting impact. Your journey with us will include:



  • Crafting and sending bid solicitation letters to subcontractors like a pro.
  • Flexing your math skills with quantity take-offs (because numbers are your thing, right?).
  • Diving into subcontractor bids and figuring out who's got the goods.
  • Helping make the big decisions with trade scope reviews and recap sheets.
  • Drafting recommendation letters to owners-because your opinion matters.
  • Keeping projects on track with regular schedule updates.
  • Managing the RFI process (Requests for Information) like a detective on a mission.
  • Overseeing submittals and keeping everything moving smoothly.
  • Tracking punch lists and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Making sure project closeouts are as clean as your job site.
  • Keeping an eagle eye on the Cost Control Log-because budgets are key.
  • Participating in PM and corporate meetings where your voice will be heard.
  • Taking part in training and development opportunities that'll take your skills to the next level.

Office & Travel:

Office: Various jobsites and/or corporate/regional office.

Travel: Be ready for some travel to project sites, events, and other company activities, it's all part of the experience!

The physical requirements listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee's workstation and during meetings as well as while traveling, either by plane or car. Employee needs to be able to lift up to 20 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.

Occasionally, employee will be required to visit construction jobsites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is an hourly rate of $20.00 - $26.00, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.

McGough offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package for full-time employees. For Interns, we offer medical, retirement, PTO and holiday pay.
