Summary

Procure parts, equipment and material used in the Metrology Lab by locating vendors and determining if qualified to sell or repair quality related equipment, parts and materials.
Maintain and operate the Bar Control System to ensure appropriate record keeping on calibrated equipment used for quality related W/O's.

Inventory incoming equipment.

Prepare corrective and preventative maintenance work orders in accordance with NRC, Federal and Palo Verde regulations and procedures.

Maintain SIMS and department databases.

Provide administrative support for the lab.

Minimum Requirements

HS/GED and 3 years related experience.
Requires extensive MLIS/Maximo and SIMS knowledge to generate, complete, and close work orders.

Knowledge of MS Office products to support departmental functions.

Must have a general familiarity of calibration equipment and terminology.

Be familiar with APS procurement procedures and practices.

Nuclear requirement: Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member.

This is a condition of employment at PVNGS.

Roles and Responsibilities defined in Policy 1503 and implementing policy guide are applicable to all PVNGS employees.

Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage.

This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities.

This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energys Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120 ) (collectively, U.S. Export Control Laws).

Therefore, this position requires applicants to be a U.S. person, which is defined as a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), a Political Asylee, or a Refugee under the U.S. Export Control Laws. All applicants for this position will be required to confirm their U.S. person status.

Major Accountabilities

1) Staging and control of maintenance materials for corrective and preventative maintenance work orders, which comply with NRC and Palo Verde guidelines and procedures.



2) Generates Maximo service contracts and initiates PR's for equipment sent off-site for repair.



3) Maintains appropriate files and records. Follow up with vendors to ensure equipment is received on schedule.



4) Records new equipment, incoming and outgoing equipment in Bar Control.



5) Tracks equipment throughout time in the lab.



6) Runs daily Bar Control reports and notify responsible parties that equipment is due for calibration.



7) Generates CRDR's as necessary on equipment overdue and update Bar Control and SIMS.



8) Generates Out of Tolerance Notice (OTN) as appropriate for out of tolerance conditions discovered during M&TE calibrations. Assigns CRDR priority and ownership per established M&TE usage reports.



9) Determines and assigns priorities for receiving material that support emergent and scheduled work.



10) Supports CRDR's on equipment used for quality related W/O's that are overdue for calibration.



11) Inspects equipment being returned from vendors.



12) Maintains shop chemical storage per Palo Verde guidelines and procedures.
