Sr. HR Specialist

At Boingo Wireless, our Human Resources team works to hire, retain, develop & support one of the best team of people anywhere. We do that by engaging with leaders at every level to provide effective Talent Acquisition & Talent Development, as well as effective HR Support throughout. We are looking for someone eager to pitch in, especially in Training & Development, and Recruiting, but working across HR, as well. This is a great opportunity to dive in with a team that cares - about our own professional expertise, and about our colleagues.

As our Sr. HR Specialist, you'll support the team in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. You'll have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as training and development, staffing, onboarding, and employee engagement. At Boingo we understand that our business thrives when our team thrives, and that starts by hiring the right HR professionals.

Responsibilities

Talent Development



  • Manage the administration of our LMS, Absorb.
  • Create and publish Boingo-built training
  • Manage compliance training, creation, scheduling, monitoring.
  • Own reporting, effective communication & follow-up on training completion.
  • Keep up to date with the latest L&D & HR trends and best practices.
  • Create, coordinate, & facilitate competency-based, technical & leadership training.
  • National Travel will be required occasionally to facilitate training.


Human Resources



  • Manage & improve employee onboarding.
  • Complete and track employee onboarding assignments.
  • Create employee surveys and prepare the results in an easy-to-read format.
  • Safety Compliance & Safety Training
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employee information.
  • Other HR projects and duties as assigned.


Recruiting



  • Full life cycle recruiting on positions throughout the company: Operations, Technology, Accounting, etc.
  • Recruiting Coordination, including scheduling phone, video and on-site interviews.
  • Organize the on-boarding and tracking of temporary staff.
  • Manage job postings; edit, improve, evaluate for effectiveness.
  • Create offer letters, relocation memos, etc.
  • Local Travel will be required from time to time for events.


Skills and Qualifications



  • 4+ years of HR and L&D experience
  • Experience administering an LMS, preferably Absorb
  • Highly capable in producing & editing PowerPoint decks for training.
  • Familiarity with Excel, including Pivot Tables & VLOOKUP's
  • Highly organized, with the ability to work on multiple projects, and assignments concurrently.
  • Highly computer literate with MS Office tools & HRIS (we use Bamboo, and ADP for payroll).
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Resourceful, excellent problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with HR & compliance procedures and policies.
  • A desire to learn and grow within the HR function.
