ASSISTANT CONTROLLER (Remote for Atlanta metro applicants only) Now recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing private equity-backed national service company for an Assistant Controller. This is a remote role, but requires that applicants live in the Atlanta metro. Working closely with the Corporate Controller, this hands on Assistant Controller role will work closely with field offices on month end close, financial reporting, variance analysis, GAAP compliance, driving process improvements, integrating new acquisitions into their accounting ERP system, audit support, internal controls, and guiding staff. The right candidate for the Assistant Controller position will have: Bachelor's in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred 6-10+ years of relevant experience, including strong corporate accounting leadership experience Experience leading period end close process, account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, GAAP compliance and driving process improvements Experience with system/ERP implementations or integrating acquired companies into the corporate ERP. Experience leading accounting staff Preference given to those with a mix of public accounting (audit) and corporate accounting experience. Demonstrated ability to drive efficiencies and process improvements Experience working in a private equity-backed company Track record of career stability and progression required for consideration Note - exclusively seeking candidates in the Atlanta metro.
