Job Duties: Associate, Collateral and Margin with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Monitor client portfolios on a daily basis, issuing and receiving collateral calls to ensure the firm's credit risk is mitigated. Conduct risk assessment related to collateral settlement and implement corrective actions where needed. Adhere to regulations and perform a number of control functions, ensuring the integrity of our processes and reducing the overall risk. Improve operations and risk management by spotting inefficiencies and proposing strategies for improvement. Interact extensively with clients in order to resolve client disputes and queries, as well as to perform new client on-boarding. Perform Inter-Company Margining including NPV control validation, applying knowledge of associated and applicable regulations applicable to margining GSLEs across different jurisdictions. Execute margin calculation, exception and collateral settlement approval processing, as well as SIMM Calculations. Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Financial Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Financial Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include at least one (1) year with Master's degree or three (3) years with Bachelor's degree with the following: reviewing operations, risk situations, and client-specific issues; work with cross-functional teams to measure, track, or define different metrices for operations and risk management; leading projects, including cross-functional assignments, involving operations, risk or process improvements; engaging internal and external clients to carry out day-to-day procedures as well as coordinating with professionals from other business areas; utilizing Excel macros and other functions, including VLOOKUP and VBA; using Tableau and other data visualization tools such as PowerBI for data analysis and risk analysis; and tracking trends in root causes and tying them to improvement in results.
