Job Duties: Vice President, Settlements with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Escalate and summarize control failures to team management and partner with embedded risk managers to develop a remediation plan to address and prevent recurrence. Identify and clear discrepancies, including ensuring they are appropriately investigated and resolved, while managing client expectations and potential fail exposure by team members. Identify processes and controls improvement by leveraging constant evolving tools that can be used to build scalability without introducing new risks. Coordinate with external clients and provide guidance to junior members to ensure timely execution of settlements and resolve all outstanding queries on balances. Review high notional payments and payment instructions to ensure payments are made accurately and in a timely manner. Provide guidance to and coach junior team members through processes and performance.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Analysis, Economics, or related analytical field, such as Supply Chain, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Analysis, Economics, or related analytical field, such as Supply Chain, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years (with a Master's) or five (5) years (with a Bachelor's) in the following: utilizing operations tools and technologies specifically developed for financial services firm operations; utilizing interest rate derivative knowledge to build Excel Models; working on validating trade information (including asset class- and region-specific trade information), streamlining essential reporting, and knowledge sharing, and performing cash reconciliations with various clearing houses to resolve breaks on client's accounts; identifying process flaws and propose solutions to maximize efficiency; working with cash settled bonds, cap floor and inflation swap, including identifying risks inherent in daily business processes and explaining complex interest rate trade structures and booking issues across stakeholders; working with multiple teams across functions or specialties within the organization to drive a common goal; and performing data analysis, including using data to identify themes and drive decision making.
