Job Purpose and Function: In this key role, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will work with clients and internal teams to design systems that meet the client's requirements. This position will demonstrate technical competency, deliver mission-critical infrastructure, and ensure the highest quality and peak performance for HPNE products and services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders in the design, implementation, and validation of designs high quality devices and Single-Use assemblies

    • Review User Requirement Specification document to ensure all customer requirements are understood
    • Develop bills of materials, assembly drawings, designs and component drawings using SolidWorks 3D CAD software and PDM software
    • Review designs with peers and design reviews with customers for approval


  • Generate designs and documentation fixtures, tools and processes to manufacture for devices and Single-Use assemblies
  • Conduct testing, measuring and research for functionality and capability of new product designs
  • Support First Article build in the clean room
  • Utilizes a variety of tools to continuously improve existing way of working
  • Keep well-informed of the latest advancements in technology, design trends and best engineering practices
  • Transparently and proactively communicate progress of all assigned tasks to the relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure project timelines are met and KPI are reached
  • Manage project timelines, resources and budgets


Required Skills and Abilities:



  • Extensive technical domain know-how and understanding of adjacent functions
  • Experience in developing and improving cross functional work processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to write technical reports, operations manuals, test procedures, and SOP documents
  • Proficient with SolidWorks or similar CAD tool
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 5-7 years of experience working in engineering
  • 1-3 years of experience from pharma


$130 - $145K annual depending on experience with 10% incentive program
