POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State New Kensington invites applications for a teaching faculty position (Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor) in Mathematics to begin August 2025. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, one-year appointment for the Fall 25/Spring 26 academic year. Responsibilities may include pre-calculus courses, calculus, vector calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations (24 credits per academic year) or other related courses as needed including introductory and advanced statistics. Teaching assignments may require teaching day and/or evening classes. Participate in course, curriculum, and program development. Advise students and provide career guidance. Participate in campus, university, and community service activities. Engage in activities to stay current in the discipline.

Qualifications include a minimum of a master's degree (for appointment as instructor) or PhD (for appointment as assistant teaching professor) in mathematics or closely related disciplines. Minimum 1-year of college level teaching experience required.
