Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Digital QA Lead. The Digital QA Lead will help scale our Central Testing organization and drive enterprise-wide QA governance. This role will serve as a critical execution partner to the Sr. Manager - Digital QA, contributing to the vision of centralized, AI-enabled, and automation-first QA across Daikin's digital ecosystem.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in QA leadership across enterprise platforms (Salesforce, Oracle, Workday, etc.) and custom applications. You will lead QA strategy for key initiatives, shape testing standards, and champion quality as a shared responsibility across product, engineering, and delivery teams. What you will do:

Project & Team Leadership



  • Lead QA efforts across a portfolio of programs, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on engagement
  • Serve as a thought partner to product owners, developers, architects, and program managers
  • Mentor QA analysts and automation engineers; cultivate a growth mindset and foster a quality-first culture


QA Governance & Process Ownership



  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evolution of QA standards, best practices, and metrics to ensure consistency across teams and initiatives
  • Establish and enforce governance around test planning, test case management, defect triage, and release sign-off criteria
  • Promote risk-based testing practices and ensure traceability to both business and technical requirements


Hands-on Testing & Support



  • Step in for high-priority testing efforts, including MVPs, escalated defects, or urgent production fixes
  • Contribute to both manual and automated test design in close collaboration with DevOps and automation teams
  • Support CI/CD pipeline integrations and drive toolchain rationalization efforts


Test Planning & Reporting



  • Develop comprehensive test strategies and detailed test plans for complex initiatives spanning enterprise off-the-shelf platforms and custom-built applications
  • Provide clear, actionable reporting on test progress, defect trends, and overall quality status to stakeholders
  • Lead root cause analysis and ensure lessons learned are integrated into continuous QA process improvements
  • Drive adoption of reusable test assets, accelerators, and automated health checks


Tooling & Continuous Improvement



  • Collaborate with automation and DevOps teams to optimize testing efficiency through integrated frameworks and CI/CD practices
  • Evaluate and recommend testing tools for manual, automated, and exploratory testing across web, API, and enterprise application environments
  • Continuously assess QA effectiveness using feedback loops, performance metrics, and structured retrospectives

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years in software quality assurance; 6+ years in QA leadership roles
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile, hybrid delivery models, and enterprise test practices
  • Strong grasp of test case management, automation tooling, and defect lifecycle best practices
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, SDLC, STLC, and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Familiarity with test case management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA)
  • Ability to contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts as needed
  • Proven ability to lead QA activities across multiple programs or initiatives
  • Experience establishing QA processes, quality gates, and end-to-end test strategies from the ground up
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence across cross-functional teams
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Hands-on experience with QA tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, UFT, or Tricentis Tosca
  • Experience leading testing efforts in cloud-native, custom-built, and integrated enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Oracle, or other ERP/CRM systems
  • Understanding of performance, security, or accessibility testing
  • ISTQB or other relevant QA leadership certifications



Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 - $166,000 (+ 15-20% bonus) in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
